Fire damages home near 26th & Ruby; cause under investigation

MILWAUKEE — Firefighters were called to a home near 26th and Ruby around 1 a.m. Friday, October 16th.

Officials say the fire broke out in a bedroom on the second floor. Two people were home at the time, but managed to escape safety.

No injuries have been reported.

The fire caused an estimated $45,000 in damage. The cause of the fire is unknown and remains under investigation.
