MILWAUKEE — Smoke was seen coming from the engine of a private plane at Mitchell International Airport on Thursday evening, November 5th.

Officials with the airport say no injuries have been reported on the plane (Cessna).

The plane was stopped and parked — with no further smoke being seen from the engine. The airport fire department checked out the situation.

Officials say the airport was shut down for about 15 minutes because of this incident. They say that is standard procedure anytime there is an issue with an aircraft at the airfield.
