Attention cat lovers: “Cat café” set to open on Monroe Street in Madison on March 21st

MADISON — A “cat café” is set to open in Madison next week, according to Cat Café Mad’s website.

The website features the following message:

We open in MADISON March 21st with our grand opening April 1st, 2016.

Come join us for Halloween in April for our Grand Opening Weekend April 1st-3rd:

Costumes optional for Cosplay or just hanging around with cats.

We open Spring Break week at reduced rates: Half Price March 21-28th.

Come to the cafe at the introduced rate of $5.00:  includes entry and drink.

“The purpose of our cat café is to provide the public with a chance to experience the love, fun and happiness that comes from owning a cat in a relaxing atmosphere,” the website says.

According to the website, the Monroe Street location will have 15 cats and they will have tables and chairs or mats for people who want to play with the cats on the floor.
