Generous donation: North Shore Bank helps with revitalization of Milwaukee neighborhood

MILWAUKEE -- North Shore Bank is helping with the revitalization of a Milwaukee neighborhood.

On Thursday, March 31st, the Historic King District Business Improvement District received a $25,000 donation from the bank.

The money will go towards the creation of a $50,000 revolving loan fund.

The loans will be available to qualified businesses looking to either start or expand in the area.

"It's not the size of the loan -- it's the need and these needs don't always have to be large. In many cases this is going to be a contract that these people get that they need additional equipment, more supplies, or people and then this bridges the gap that allows them to purchase the equipment and make their businesses more successful," Michael Kellman with North Shore Bank said.

The loans are generally small -- between $1,000 and $10,000 to get businesses to grow.
