Developer asks Village of Hales Corners for $1.6 million to replace Kmart with Festival Foods

HALES CORNERS -- Hales Corners may help pay for the redevelopment of a former Kmart store.

Developer "Commercial Horizons" is asking the village for $1.6 million to replace the Kmart store with a Festival Foods.

The village is considering creating a tax incremental financing district for the development.
