Latest: Man accused of passing counterfeit $20 bills in Caledonia turns himself in

CALEDONIA --  The man accused of passing counterfeit $20 bills in Caledonia has turned himself in, according to officials.

According to police, the suspect entered the Speedway gas station on Douglas Avenue near 4 Mile Road on May 26th and attempted to purchase a pre-paid debit card with the counterfeit bills.

The transaction was denied.



According to police, the suspect became aware that authorities were looking for him through various Facebook posts and turned himself in at the Caledonia Police Department at 7:43 p.m.

The suspect was transported to the Racine County Law Enforcement Center where he is being held pending review of charges. The Caledonia Police Department would like to thank the media and community for their quick action in resolving the identification and apprehension of the suspect.
