WEST BEND -- Congratulations are in order for a West Bend crossing guard -- retiring after decades of service.

After 36 years keeping children safe on the streets -- she is hanging up her vest.

Theresa Hron came into work for the last time on Thursday, June 2nd.

On Thursday morning, members of the West Bend police department and residents showed up at her long-time intersection near Green Tree and Park.

They came out to congratulate her on her retirement and say "thanks" for all her years of work.
