MILWAUKEE — The Milwaukee Common Council on Tuesday, July 26th voted to back the bus rapid transit line connecting Milwaukee and Wauwatosa.

Aldermen voted to support Milwaukee County as officials seek a $36 million federal grant for the $45 million project.

The Milwaukee County Board is expected to make a final vote on the remaining financing Thursday, July 28th.

This, despite a petition from businesses along the route on Bluemound Road raising concerns they will lose street parking and business because of the route.
