"Humbled for sure:" 2 men who worked for the Packers to head to Canton at Favre's request

CANTON, Ohio -- There will be plenty of green and gold in Canton, Ohio this weekend -- as Green Bay Packers legend Brett Favre is inducted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame on Saturday, August 6th. A pair of guys got an invite from Favre himself!

During Favre's time in Green Bay, both Jim Dagneau and Dean White worked for the Packers. Dagneau worked security, and White worked in the video department.

Jim Dagneau

On Thursday, August 4th, both men will head to Canton ahead of Saturday's induction ceremony -- at the request of Favre himself.

"Humbled for sure -- especially in that large of a stage with that many people he has to think about, but really not surprised because that's just the kind of guy he is," Dagneau said.

'Come on -- get your clubs. We're going to Oneida.' That's just the guy that he was. He just liked being with the little guys," White said.

Dean White

White said Favre is also known for being a man of his word.

"Towards the end of my career, I used to tease him all the time -- that I wanted to make sure I made it 'if you go to Canton, Ohio,' and he promised me that he would send me a ticket," White said.

White and Dagneau hold onto memories like the time they were in Cleveland together for a game when a blackout left their hotel with no power.

"We sat out in the hallway and he told stories over his entire career, and we just sat there on the floor, probably 95 to 100 degrees in the hotel, and we just sat there and he told stories," Dagneau said.

When they return to Ohio, they expect to add some new memories they'll never forget.
