WALWORTH COUNTY — Officials with the Bloomfield Police Department say a 37-year-old Twin Lakes man was killed in a crash on Highway 50 near the intersection with Eastside Road in Walworth County Tuesday, October 4th.

It happened shortly after 6:00 p.m.

Bloomfield police say a preliminary investigation has revealed a 22-year-old Genoa City man was driving westbound on Highway 50 — attempting to turn left onto Eastside Road, and as he was making the turn, crossing over the eastbound lanes of Highway 50, his vehicle was struck by a vehicle driven by the Twin Lakes man — headed eastbound on Highway 50.

The Twin Lakes man was ejected from his vehicle and pronounced dead at the scene.

The Genoa City man was taken to the hospital for treatment of injuries sustained in this crash.

It’s unclear at this time whether speed or impairment were contributing factors in this crash.
