WAKEMAN, Ohio — Police in Ohio are warning parents to check their children’s Halloween candy very carefully — after discovering suspicious Lemonheads candy handed out during Trick-or-Treating.

A post on the Wakeman Police Department’s Facebook page on Sunday, October 30th states that the suspicious candy was brought to the attention of police by concerned citizens — and police are asking that police check over candy very carefully — particularly Lemonheads.

Wakeman police said there have been multiple instances of Lemonheads packages being opened slightly and the candy itself looking distorted.

There are concerns that the candy may have been tampered with.
