Suspect in custody following "active shooter" incident at Bayshore Town Center



GLENDALE -- A suspect is in custody following an "active shooter" incident Monday evening, September 18th at Bayshore Town Center.

Glendale police said no one was hurt. A BB gun was recovered at the scene.

Police said the scene is safe, and the lone suspect was arrested without incident. There's no danger to the public, and roads in the area are open.

FOX6 News spoke with employees who said they saw police with guns drawn aiming at the roof of the parking garage near the Port Washington entrance.

“I was notified there were police on the road and that Port Washington was closed off so we came to the front to check it out and all we could see from where we were was a squad car at the end of the parking lot and an officer looking at the parking garage. I’m just glad they responded quickly and effectively," Evan Gray, employee said.
