3 in custody after police chase from Germantown to Menomonee Falls ends in crash

MENOMONEE FALLS -- Three people were taken into custody after a police chase from Germantown ended in a crash in Menomonee Falls on Wednesday, Sept. 26. The suspects are believed to be involved in multiple burglaries in Germantown.

Officials say around 2:30 p.m., a Germantown resident called police to report a burglary in progress at his home near County Line Road. The homeowner described the suspects as three males, black, driving a gold-colored car.

Police say the suspects attempted to get in his garage and in his vehicle and then fled the scene.

Another resident in the same area called police shortly, to report the same vehicle and occupants.

When Germantown police located the vehicle, it fled at a high rate of speed on County Line Road.

With assistance from Menomonee Fall police, stop sticks were deployed in an attempt to catch the fleeing vehicle. The suspect vehicle lost control and crashed near Pilgrim Road and Falls Parkway.



The three suspects were taken into custody, a 16-year-old male from Milwaukee, a 15-year-old male from Milwaukee, and a 15-year-old male from New London; one was taken to Community Memorial Hospital with minor injuries.

Police say the vehicle was stolen out of Milwaukee.

One Germantown police squad was damaged during the crash.

The crash is now being investigated by the Menomonee Falls Police Department.

According to police, a third call was received from a resident in the same area that their vehicle had been entered as well.
