235 COVID-19 deaths in Wisconsin; 4,542 positive cases, 46K+ negative

MILWAUKEE — Officials with the Wisconsin Department of Health Services reported 4,499 positive cases of the coronavirus statewide as of Monday, April 20. Of those, 1,211 (27%) have required hospitalization. DHS officials reported 230 deaths in the state, and said 46,603 people have tested negative for COVID-19.

The Milwaukee County coronavirus dashboard showed 2,206 positive cases in the county as of Monday afternoon, and 127 deaths.

Additional cases reported by health officials Monday brought the statewide total of positive cases to 4,542, and the total number of deaths statewide to 235. Officials in Clark County reported the first COVID-19 death Monday.
