MILWAUKEE -- Colorful kites will grace the skies this weekend in downtown Milwaukee. Celebrating 40 years -- the Frank Mots International Kite Festival kicks off Saturday, Sept. 8!

The Wilde Subaru Frank Mots International Kite Festival will be held in Veterans Park on Saturday, Sept. 8 from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. and on Sunday, Sept. 9 from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. At noon on both days, a Grand Launch of 600 kites will take place. The festival also features kite flying lessons, world-class kite flying team demos, and a 100-foot whale kite. It's FREE to attend, with plenty of free parking.
