SHEBOYGAN (WITI) -- The Sheboygan Police Department is seeking assistance in locating a dog that bit a Sheboygan woman.
According to Sheboygan police, the woman stated that a brown "pit bull-type" dog wandered into her yard on Monday, August 18th around 2 p.m.
According to the woman, the dog appeared friendly, so she began petting it. The woman claims that's when the dog suddenly bit her on her hands.
The incident occurred in the 800 block of Mead Avenue.
Police have been attempting to identify the owner.
