Seeds can be sown now for over a dozen crops

Finally!! The time has come to start planting vegetables. The soil is ready and we have this year’s plan. Seeds can be sown now for over a dozen crops starting with peas. We have some suggestions for success growing this sweet, nutritious and simple early season crop.

In the root crop bed, we will show examples of simplified sowing techniques for carrots as well as how easy onions and shallots are.

Raspberries require some care now so we can reap the rewards later on. We pruned last summer, now another quick nip and some fertilizer and they should be off and running.
