Zoo Interchange I-94 EB to I-41 NB ramp set to close until spring of 2017

MILWAUKEE -- Construction is really picking up -- with changes coming to I-94 and the Zoo Interchange. Ryan Luck with the Wisconsin Department of Transportation joins FOX6 WakeUp to talk about everything that's going to impact your commute.

Zoo Interchange:

I-94 East to I-41 North system ramp will be closed Monday morning 8/15 until late Spring 2017

I-94 East and ramp from I-94 East to I-41/894 South Extended Weekend Closure for steel erection 8/19 -8/20:
I-94 East at WIS 100 and the ramp to I-41/894 South will close at 11pm on Friday 8/19 as crews erect girders for the new ramp to I-41 North. The closure will begin late Friday night. It is planned that the closures would remain until 6am on Sunday (8/21), however, if weather is favorable it is likely that I-94 East and the ramp will reopen by mid-afternoon Saturday (8/20).

Alternate routes:

(Irish Fest and Zoo Ala Carte both occur this weekend. With routes expected to reopen by mid-Saturday just check the website before you head out to see if it is open or if you should divert to Greenfield for Irish Fest or Bluemound for Zoo Ala Carte )

County F Project:
I-94 entrance and exit ramps at CTH F will close Monday (8/15). Use WIS 164 to get around the closures

Lakefront Gateway Project:
I-794 Northbound exit to Michigan / Lincoln Memorial Drive will re-open on Wednesday morning (8/17)
