1 person flown Flight for Life with life-threatening injuries following crash in Dodge County
DODGE COUNTY -- Dodge County officials are investigating after a crash took place on County Highway S near South Center Road in the Town of Beaver Dam, Thursday morning, November 17th.
The crash took place shortly before 9:30 a.m.
According to the Dodge County Sheriff's Office, a 40-year-old man from Beaver Dam was traveling west on County Highway S in a 2006 Chevrolet when he drifted over the center line into eastbound traffic, striking the rear wheels of a 2016 Mack semi-truck, operated by a 58-year-old man from rural Mayville.
Authorities say there were no other occupants in either vehicle. The 58-year-old semi-truck driver was uninjured.
The 40-year-old man from Beaver Dam, sustained life-threatening injuries and was flown from the scene by Flight for Life to UW Hospital in Madison.
The area was closed for nearly four hours while the crash was being investigated and the scene cleared.
Assisting at the scene was Beaver Dam Fire, Beaver Dam EMS, Flight for Life, Wisconsin State Patrol, Dodge County Highway Department and the Dodge County Emergency Response Team.
The crash remains under investigation.
No other details have been released.
