MILWAUKEE — The number of people in the state testing positive for COVID-19 grew to 10,020 on Saturday, May 9 according to data from state and county health officials. There have been 399 deaths statewide. More than 101,000 people have tested negative.
The Milwaukee County coronavirus dashboard showed 3,904 positive cases and 212 deaths related to the coronavirus in the county as of Saturday afternoon. However, the Wisconsin Department of Health Services reported fewer cases -- 3,854 -- and additional deaths -- 224 -- in the county.
As of Wednesday, the DHS website noted there were 4,875 cases that were listed as recovered — or about 49% of the overall positive cases.
