14-year-old student to face criminal charges after brief pursuit by Oak Creek police

OAK CREEK -- A 14-year-old student from Oak Creek was taken into custody on Tuesday morning, April 12th -- and has been referred to the Milwaukee County Children's Court for criminal charges.

The Oak Creek Police Department indicates officers were dispatched to Oak Creek East Middle School just before 7:30 a.m. on Tuesday to check out a report of an agitated student in the parking lot.

When officers arrived on the scene, they received information that the 14-year-old student had left the area. Moments later, they located the student operating a vehicle in Racine County -- and a motor vehicle pursuit ensued.

The 14-year-old was taken into custody after a minor property damage incident.
