15-year-old student of Union Grove HS arrested for 'making terroristic threats'
UNION GROVE -- A 15-year-old student of Union Grove High School was arrested on Monday, Feb. 26 for "making terroristic threats" and disorderly conduct.
The Racine County Sheriff's office indicated in a Facebook post that it had received a complaint from Union Grove High School of a student who had thoughts of "shooting up the school."
Officials say the suspect was quickly identified -- and he was taken into custody at the high school. Officials say the teen did not have possession of any firearms at that time. He was turned over to the Juvenile Detention Center and is being held in custody.
Racine County Sheriff Christopher Schmaling stated in the Facebook post:
"As you can imagine, we take these situations very seriously. We are not taking any chances when it comes to the safety and security of the schools, children, and faculty in Racine County."
