16-year-old boy dead following shooting near 55th and Casper; 18-year-old man hospitalized

MILWAUKEE -- A 16-year-old is dead and an 18-year-old man is injured following a double shooting near 55th and Casper Saturday night, Sept. 14.

The two victims were passengers in a car when shots were fired inside the vehicle and the two individuals were struck.

The driver of the vehicle drove to a nearby hospital following the shooting. One victim, a 16-year-old boy, suffered a fatal gunshot wound and was deceased upon arrival at the hospital. The second victim, an 18-year-old man, suffered an injury that was not life-threatening.

The circumstances behind the incident were under investigation.
