MILWAUKEE -- Milwaukee County Sheriff's deputies stopped a drunk driving teenager early Sunday morning, April 22nd after an officer observed the vehicle swerving on 35th St. near National Ave. All three teenage passengers in the vehicle were cited for underage drinking, and one of them was cited for possession of marijuana.
The 17-year-old drunk driver had a BAC of .12, and was cited for OWI with minor passengers. Two of the passengers were 15-year-old girls, and the other was an 18-year-old male. The 18-year-old was taken to the Milwaukee County Correctional Facility to be booked and released.
Child Protective Services was called after the parents of the 15-year-old girls refused to pick up their children. All four teenagers cited in this incident are from Illinois.
The 17-year-old driver faces up to six months in jail, two years of probation, and up to 18 months revocation of her license.
