22-year-old man in custody after woman stabbed after Fourth of July fireworks show in Green Bay

GREEN BAY — Police say a 22-year-old man is being held in custody after a woman was stabbed multiple times following a Fourth of July fireworks display in downtown Green Bay.

Green Bay police say the 20-year-old woman was taken to a local hospital Saturday night, July 4th, and was treated for injuries that were not life-threatening. Police say a 41-year-old man tried to stop the attack and sustained minor injuries.

According to police, bystanders detained the suspect until officers arrived.
