WEST BEND (WITI) -- West Bend police say a 26-year-old woman had to be taken to the hospital after she was struck by a vehicle on Tuesday, March 24th.
It happened shortly before 1:00 p.m. near 6th Avenue and Walnut Street.
An investigation revealed the 26-year-old woman was walking northbound -- crossing Walnut Street at 6th Avenue. The woman was in the crosswalk when she was struck by a vehicle being driven by a 62-year-old West Bend man, who was turning east onto Walnut Street from 6th Avenue.
The pedestrian was taken to Froedtert Hospital. The extent of her injuries is unclear.
The driver of the striking vehicle was cited for failure to yield to a pedestrian in a crosswalk.
