3 crimes, 1 suspect: Greenfield police arrest man wanted for armed robbery, theft
GREENFIELD -- Greenfield police say they have taken into custody a 56-year-old man suspected of committing three crimes including armed robbery and theft.
We first showed you pictures of the suspect on October 13th. Police say the man pictured is responsible for three separate incidents this month. Those incidents include an armed robbery of a 73-year-old person, a strong armed robbery of an 85-year-old person and a theft from an 82-year-old person.
All three crimes happened at senior living facilities. One at 93rd and Howard, the second at 92nd and Layton and the third near Howard and Prairie Hill.
On Friday, November 4th, Greenfield police detectives were conducting a follow-up investigation in this case. They were in the neighborhood near 60th and Green Tree on Milwaukee's northwest side when they saw the person they believed to be the individual sought in this case. He got into the passenger seat of a vehicle.
Officials say a traffic stop was performed -- and the man exited the vehicle and attempted to run away from detectives. With help from the Milwaukee Police Department, the man was taken into custody.
