3-year-old child seriously hurt after being ejected from vehicle in Dodge County crash
DODGE COUNTY -- A three-year-old child sustained serious but non-life threatening injuries after being ejected from a vehicle during a crash in Dodge County.
The crash happened Thursday afternoon, September 22nd on Town Road MM, west of Jefferson Road, in the Township of Ashippun.
Preliminary investigation shows that an SUV was westbound on Town Road MM when the driver lost control -- causing the vehicle to enter the south ditch, strike a steep embankment and utility pole.
A three-year-old child was ejected from the vehicle. The child was flown from the scene by Flight For Life to Children’s Hospital.
Officials say the driver was uninjured but alcohol appears to be a contributing factor in the crash.
Assisting at the scene was Ashippun Fire Department, Ashippun First Responders, Lebanon EMS, Watertown EMS and Flight For Life.
The crash remains under investigation by the Dodge County Crash Investigation Team.
