MILWAUKEE - Blindsided without a moment to get out of the way. A 39-year-old Milwaukee woman is dead and a second person is hurt after a violent collision between two vehicles at 35th and Lisbon on Tuesday morning, May 3.
Milwaukee police say just before 6 a.m., a vehicle disregarded a red light and collided with a second vehicle. That second vehicle struck the 39-year-old woman who was standing on the corner. She was pronounced deceased on the scene.
Dominic Key found the aftermath of the horrible wreck when he showed up to work Tuesday morning.

"I was upset because I seen that the building had been hit," Key said.
But it was not until Key checked the surveillance video that he noticed the incident was far more serious.

"It's a sad day. Someone lost their life," Key said. "We're praying for her family and everybody else that was involved with the loss.
Loved ones identified the victim as Yolanda Baxter – and shared a picture with FOX6 News.

Key said he saw Baxter often.
"She was a frequent customer of the establishment. She comes in every day. It's pretty sad," Key said.
Staff at the business are troubled knowing the crash was fatal.
Pedestrian fatality at 35th and Lisbon, Milwaukee
The driver of the vehicle that was struck, a 30-year-old Wauwatosa woman, suffered non-life-threatening injuries – and was taken to a hospital for treatment.
The driver of the striking vehicle, a 27-year-old Milwaukee man, was arrested by police.
Charges will be reviewed by the Milwaukee County District Attorney's Office. An autopsy for the victim is set for Wednesday.
