Apartment fire in Kenosha
KENOSHA -- Four people were hurt in a fire at an apartment building in Kenosha Saturday afternoon, March 24 -- suffering smoke inhalation.
It happened around 1:30 p.m. at the apartment building on 22nd Ave. near 85th St. We're told between 16 and 19 units were impacted.
Fire officials said those injured were treated for minor smoke inhalation. A 3-year-old boy was among them.

The fire appears to have started in a unit on the first floor, and was fully involved for a short period of time. Fire officials described it as a very aggressive fire that took about 30 minutes to extinguish.
An elementary school was opened as a day center for displaced residents, but everyone was able to find overnight accommodations.
