4 new ads land on both sides of Wisconsin governor's race
MADISON — Four new television ads in Wisconsin's tight race for governor have been released.
Two from the Republican Governors Association attack Democratic candidate Tony Evers' support for repealing a manufacturing and agriculture tax credit program that Republican Gov. Scott Walker signed into law.
Evers says it unfairly benefits the wealthy, while Walker says it's helped spur economic growth.
Ads from two Democratic groups knock Walker over health care and his use of state airplanes.
A spot from a Democratic Governors Association group says Walker is putting his political ambitions ahead of people with pre-existing health conditions because he supports repealing the Affordable Care Act. Walker says he wants to enact a state-level protection.
The other ad from the liberal group the Greater Wisconsin Committee hits Walker for using the state airplane at a cost to taxpayers of more than $900,000 since 2015.
