MILWAUKEE -- The newest batch of Milwaukee police officers were sworn in on Monday morning, December 7th.
The 42 new recruits, 38 men and four women were on hand at the Milwaukee Police Academy near Teutonia and Mill for the ceremony.
This is the second recruit class for 2015, and the recruits range in age from 21 to 52.

"I'm ready for the challenge. I've always been a person that's always ready to go in and take challenges as they come in, assess the situations that matter. I'm ready. I'm excited," Ariana Winters said.
Milwaukee Mayor Tom Barrett and Milwaukee Police Chief Ed Flynn spoke at the ceremony.
Now that they're sworn in, these recruits are set to start their 24 weeks of training.
They are on track to graduate in May of 2016.
