MILWAUKEE -- Milwaukee election officials will be throwing away 450,000 ballots because of a printing error.
The Milwaukee County Election Commission worked with a printing firm to manufacture the ballots, but the new optical scanners didn't recognize the paperwork.
Officials have place an emergency order with a different printer out of Waukesha. They should be done in time for the April 3rd Wisconsin presidential primary election.
Election officials say early in-person voting and absentee ballot voting will continue, and all votes will be counted on Election Day.
