47-year-old Kenosha man arrested after pursuit that began in Waukesha ended near Miller Park
MILWAUKEE (WITI) -- Milwaukee County Sheriff's officials took a driver into custody in the Stadium Interchange after a vehicle crashed following a pursuit that began in Waukesha County.
Waukesha County Sheriff's officials say shortly after 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, November 26th, they received a reckless driving complaint from a citizen traveling eastbound on I-94 in the area of State Highway 67.
Just before 2:30 p.m., the vehicle described in the complaint was located on I-94 eastbound near County Highway T, and a traffic stop was initiated. The vehicle failed to stop, and a pursuit was initiated.
The pursuit continued into Milwaukee County on I-94 eastbound. While pursuing the vehicle in Milwaukee County, deputies observed it striking the median barrier wall several times. The vehicle also struck another vehicle -- causing property damage.
The vehicle came to a stop on I-94 eastbound, just east of N. General Mitchell Boulevard after striking the median barrier wall.
The Milwaukee County Sheriff's Office assisted at this location.
The driver, a 47-year-old Kenosha man, was taken into custody by Waukesha County Sheriff's officials. They say alcohol impairment is suspected.
No one was injured.
