5 suspects arrested after carjacking and pursuit which ended near 28th and Villard

MILWAUKEE -- An armed carjacking Wednesday morning, August 10th led to a cross-town pursuit.

It all started around 9:00 a.m. near 77th and Beckett in Milwaukee -- when police say five suspects robbed the victim of their vehicle at gunpoint.

Around 12:45 p.m., the victim's vehicle, a gray 2006 Nissan Armada was found near 42nd and Hampton.

Officers attempted a traffic stop, but the Nissan fled from them.

Officers pursued the Nissan throughout the north side of Milwaukee.  Glendale police officers joined the pursuit and used stop sticks to deflate the Nissan’s tires.

The pursuit ended near 28th and Villard, and police say five suspects fled the vehicle.

After a foot pursuit, five suspects who were both male and female, juveniles and adults, were apprehended.

The investigation is ongoing and the case will be presented to the Milwaukee County District Attorney’s Office in the coming days for charges.
