59-year-old Milwaukee man arrested, accused in armed robbery at Bank Mutual in Menomonee Falls
MENOMONEE FALLS -- A 59-year-old Milwaukee man has been arrested in connection with an armed robbery that occurred Thursday morning, July 16th at a Bank Mutual in Menomonee Falls.
Menomonee Falls police responded to the bank, located on Water Tower Place in Menomonee Falls around 8:21 a.m.
An initial investigation revealed that a subject armed with a handgun confronted employees upon their arrival to work and demanded cash. The subject obtained an undetermined amount of cash and fled on a bicycle.
Menomonee Falls police officers, along with officers from the Germantown Police Department and deputies from the Waukesha County Sheriff’s Department responded to the area and located the subject on the bicycle. The subject, upon seeing officers, discarded the bicycle and fled on foot.
Officers began a foot pursuit and subsequently arrested the subject at 8:26 a.m.
The subject was found to be armed with a handgun and evidence from the robbery.
The subject was identified as a 59-year-old Milwaukee man with an extensive criminal record to include multiple felony convictions.
