MILWAUKEE — According to the Wisconsin Department of Health Services and supplemental data from county health agencies, the number of people in the state testing positive for COVID-19 grew to 6,994 on Thursday, April 30. There have been 317 deaths. More than 69,000 people have tested negative.
The Milwaukee County coronavirus dashboard showed 3,106 cases and 176 deaths related to the coronavirus in the county as of Thursday afternoon. However, the DHS reported a greater number of deaths -- 181 deaths -- for the county.
As of Thursday, the DHS website noted there were 3,352 cases that were listed as recovered — or about 49% of the overall positive cases.
