73-year-old motorcyclist dead after collision with car near 46th and Forest Home
MILWAUKEE -- A 73-year-old motorcyclist from Milwaukee died from injuries suffered after a collision between the motorcycle and a car near 46th and Forest Home on Friday afternoon, April 5.
Officials were called to the scene shortly after 3:30 p.m. They say the motorcyclist was headed from a stop sign onto Forest Home Ave. An 18-year-old Milwaukee man was eastbound on Forest Home. Officials say both drivers attempted to avoid each other. However, they collided in the intersection.
The 73-year-old man was ejected from the motorcycle and pronounced deceased on the scene.
The 18-year-old driver was not seriously hurt -- and is cooperating with investigators.
Milwaukee police are assisting with the investigation -- and reconstructed the accident scene.
An autopsy on the victim is scheduled for Monday, April 8.
