87th and Hampton crash, pedestrian struck, driver arrested

A Milwaukee woman, 54, was taken to the hospital in critical condition after a driver hit her Thursday morning near 87th and Hampton. That driver was arrested.

MILWAUKEE - Milwaukee police are investigating a crash involving a pedestrian that happened Thursday morning, March 16 near 87th and Hampton. It happened shortly before 5 a.m.

Police say a vehicle struck a pedestrian that was walking across the street. The pedestrian, a 54-year-old Milwaukee woman, was transported to the hospital for treatment of life-threatening injuries. She is in critical condition.

The driver of the vehicle, a 21-year-old Milwaukee man, was arrested.

Criminal charges will be referred to the Milwaukee County District Attorney’s Office in the upcoming days.
