FRANKLIN (WITI) -- Franklin police on Tuesday afternoon, May 27th arrested a 24-year-old man for refusing to stop his vehicle -- and he was later involved in a crash.
Franklin police attempted to stop the man's vehicle just before 4:00 Tuesday -- but say he refused, because the vehicle's registered owner had two misdemeanor warrants.
Police say the driver ran a red light at the intersection of S. 27th Street and W. Layton Avenue -- where he was struck by a westbound car.
After the collision, the 24-year-old man fled on foot, and was later located and taken into custody without further incident.
Two people suffered minor injuries in the collision.
They both refused transport to the hospital.
The suspect was taken to the Milwaukee County Jail pending charges.
