Accused of running unlicensed daycare out of her home, woman charged after infant hurt

OZAUKEE COUNTY (WITI) -- A child neglect investigation in Ozaukee County has led to charges against a 32-year-old Belgium woman.

Prosecutors say Jennifer Vandeboom was running an unlicensed daycare out of her home.

Somehow, an infant was hurt while in her care -- suffering serious injuries, including a broken femur and bleeding on the brain.

Vandeboom allegedly never told the child's parents what happened -- or police.

The child went two days without treatment.

Vandeboom now faces a felony charge of neglecting a child and a misdemeanor charge of resisting or obstructing an officer.
