Adams County: 26-year-old woman dies after being shot with pellet gun in Town of Preston
ADAMS COUNTY, Wis. -- A 26-year-old woman died after accidentally being shot with a pellet gun in the Town of Preston in Adams County.
The incident occurred Sunday, April 10th.
According to the Adams County Sheriff's Office, deputies who responded to the scene found the 26-year-old woman, later identified as Constance Heintz of Friendship, bleeding and unresponsive.
She was pronounced dead upon arrival at Moundview Memorial Hospital located in Friendship.
Authorities say a 19-year-old man from Friendship was taken into custody. He is being held in the Adams County Jail on a homicide by negligent use of a dangerous weapon charge.
The investigation into this incident is ongoing.
