Admirals will likely move from BMO Harris Bradley Center to UWM Panther Arena
MILWAUKEE -- The Milwaukee Admirals will likely have a new home next season in downtown Milwaukee.
The team's deal to move its home games to the UW-Milwaukee Panther Arena from the BMO Harris Bradley Center is scheduled to be voted on on Wednesday morning, March 16th.
Admirals owner Harris Turer is expected to keep his pledge to invest in upgrading the team's new venue under a lease the team negotiated with the Wisconsin Center District.
The Admirals are looking for new home ice because they won't be playing in the new Bucks arena that will replace the Bradley Center in 2018.
The Admirals will hold a press conference on Wednesday, March 16 at 1:00 p.m. in the lobby of the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee Panther Arena to make a major announcement regarding a possible move by the team to the arena.
Among those in attendance at the press conference will be Admirals Owner/CEO Harris Turer, Admirals President Jon Greenberg, Admirals General Manager/Nashville Predators Assistant GM Paul Fenton, Wisconsin Center District Executive Director Russ Staerkel and WCD Board Chair Scott Neitzel.
