MILWAUKEE (WITI) -- Marquette University officials issued a public alert to students on Tuesday, May 27th, after a bank near the university was robbed.
The BMO Harris Bank near 21st and Wisconsin Ave. was robbed on Tuesday -- just before 5:00 p.m.
Marquette's Department of Public Safety says the bank teller, who is not affiliated with Marquette, was approached by a suspect who implied a weapon and demanded money.
The victim wasn't injured.
The suspect fled the scene south -- toward Michigan Avenue.
The suspect is described as a white man between the ages of 45 and 50.
He is approximately six feet tall, and has blonde hair with a slight beard.
He was wearing a Woodland camouflage hunting jumpsuit, a black hat and black gloves.
Milwaukee police have only said this incident remains under investigation.
