Amazon.com gearing up to move into first of two new distribution centers in Kenosha

KENOSHA (WITI) -- Amazon.com is preparing to move into the first of two new buildings in Kenosha by the end of the week.

The online retailer has submitted applications to the city with the intent of occupying one building by the end of the week.

The nearly 500,000 square foot building is the smaller of two Amazon distribution centers under construction.

Amazon estimated up to 575 full-time jobs for that facility.

The larger building is expected to open in the spring.
