Wisconsin Amber Alert: Missing Two Rivers boy, search intensifies
TWO RIVERS, Wis. - An Amber Alert has been issued for a missing 3-year-old boy in Two Rivers – and the search has intensified as of Wednesday, Feb. 21.
Authorities said Elijah Vue's caregiver last saw him at 8 a.m. at his home Tuesday morning, near 39th and Mishicot in Two Rivers. He was last seen wearing gray sweatpants, a long sleeved, dark-colored shirt, and red and green dinosaur slip-on shoes.
Two Rivers Police Chief Ben Meinnert spoke at a brief press conference Wednesday evening, Feb. 21, thanking the public for their help, but also asking to refrain from spreading rumors or misinformation.

"Our hearts go out to Elijah's family during this incredibly difficult time," Meinnert said. "We want to ensure them and the public that we are doing everything in our power to bring Elijah home safely."
The chief did not take any questions.
Residents organized a search party Wednesday morning. Both Two Rivers police along with state and federal crime scene response teams were present.
As more community members joined the search, they covered areas near Forest View Cemetery and Holy Cross Cemetery.
"A little child like that going missing, especially in a small town like this," said Shannon Dax, a Two Rivers resident involved in the search. "I can’t imagine what that family is going through."
"Everybody looking for him and yelling his name," said Maggie Remiker, a Two Rivers resident involved in the search.

In one of those search groups was Vue's aunt.
"We’ve been in contact with law enforcement – giving our all. Trying everything we can to help out," said Linda Vue, Elijah's aunt. "It’s been very hard. It’s very disheartening."

Vue is described as 3 feet tall and 45 pounds, with sandy hair and brown eyes. Officials said he has a birthmark on his left knee.
The Two Rivers Police Department said Vue is possibly carrying a red and white plaid blanket with him.
Meinnert is asking anyone with information to come forward, noting even if you might think it isn't much, it could still be helpful. Officials are also asking people to check their doorbell cameras – and be on the lookout.
There is currently no description of a suspect or a vehicle, and police said no family or associates are in the area.
