Andre Carroll sentenced to 12 years in prison in fatal East Troy crash

WALWORTH COUNTY -- A Walworth County judge sentenced 19-year-old Andre Carroll to 12 years in prison and another 12 years of extended supervision -- in connection with a fatal crash that happened in September 2015.
Carroll was convicted of the following charges:
A criminal complaint says Carroll had been partying on Saturday evening, September 12th. Officials indicated Carroll crossed the center line with his SUV and struck two motorcycles on Highway 20 near Fremont Street in East Troy. One man died on the scene -- two others were hurt.
Police say Carroll admitted to drinking and smoking marijuana. He got up early to drive from Madison to Whitewater. At the time of the crash, he was headed back to Milwaukee. Carroll told police he fell asleep at the wheel.
