CEDARBURG (WITI) -- Over 100,000 people visited Cedarburg's Strawberry Festival last year, and FOX6 News was there as this year's festival wrapped up on Sunday, June 23rd.
The Strawberry Festival is a chance to celebrate the most luscious fruit of summer -- fresh, homegrown strawberries!
"There’s excellent food, great music, entertainment, the vendors are outstanding—stuff you won’t find anywhere else," a Strawberry Fest visitor told FOX6 News.
"Part of our mission is to help the economic viability of downtown Cedarburg—to keep our merchants doing well throughout the year, so this is a big boost for their income," Natasha Loos with Strawberry Fest said.
The festival featured many strawberry-themed edible items, including strawberry brats, strawberry milk, and strawberry cakes.
But there's more than just food at this fest!
"These artists are incredible that we have at this festival, and the variety of stuff is just amazing to me. I mean, there’s things out there that you never even thought of," Loos said.
A representative with Cedarburg Festivals, Incorporated estimates the organization does about $500,000 a year in Ozaukee County through its various festivals, with the Strawberry Festival being one of the biggest.
