Answered prayers: Stolen baby Jesus statue returned to his manger in Burlington

BURLINGTON -- Immaculate Conception St. Mary Parish in Burlington was hoping for the safe return of a statue of baby Jesus after it was stolen over the holidays. Saturday, January 9th their prayers were answered and the baby Jesus was returned.

FOX6 News first shared the story of the missing statue Thursday, January 7th after the church noticed it was stolen from their nativity display.

According to the church, they looked out into the stable on Saturday, and the baby Jesus statue was returned.

The nativity has belonged to the church for many years and is very important to their liturgical celebration.

The church is very happy the statue was returned unharmed.
