Apple’s new iPad Air 2, Retina iMac

Days after breaking sales records with the iPhone 6, Apple is following up with a lineup of new iPads and a refresh of the iMac.

Apple introduced Thursday updates to their ever-popular iPads Air as well as a huge change to the iMac computers.

Not only is the new iPad Air 2 thinner and faster than its predecessors, it also has Apple’s Touch ID sensor, an updated 8 megapixel camera, and a screen coating that cuts glare down by more than half.

Apple Pay is also included in the new tablet but not NFC. Instead Apple Pay will work within apps for purchasing according to the company.

The iPad Mini also got an update, and now includes Touch ID. Both models will come in three colors: gold, silver and space gray.

Pre-orders for the iPad Air 2 and iPad Mini 3 start Friday and units expected to start shipping sometime next week with prices starting at $499 and $399 respectively for the WiFi models.
